Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of NB3FIT, the NB3FIT Basketball Specialist leads the development and implementation of all basketball programming and supports implementation of all other NB3FIT programs. This position works closely with the Director of NB3FIT as well as Evaluation and Research department staff in the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of NB3FIT programming. In collaboration with the Director of NB3FIT and other NB3FIT Program Coordinators, this position will help ensure NB3FIT programs effectively promote the Foundation’s four core areas.
DETAIL OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all aspects of NB3FIT basketball programs including, but not limited to, Basketball Skills Clinics, the NB3FIT basketball league, and NB3FIT basketball team(s)
- Develop, implement, revise and refine basketball curriculum to ensure effective support participants’ development of the Foundation’s four core areas
- Assist with implementation of curriculum for all NB3FIT programs
- Assist with development of curriculum for all NB3FIT programs
- Set up and take down of tables, tents, supplies etc. for all NB3FIT programs/events
- Collect, organize and maintain program data (Knowledge Kits, attendance, etc.)
- Recruitment and registration of NB3FIT program participants
- Communication and collaboration with Evaluation and Research staff to support program evaluation
- Participate in and contribute to all NB3FIT program meetings and NB3 Foundation staff Meetings
- Communicate with participant families about program updates, participant progress, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant basketball experience and expertise gained through playing in youth clubs, high school, and/or college. Previous coaching experience is highly desired.
- Experience working with underserved populations in sport settings, particularly with Native American youth.
- Background in leadership development through sport and/or sport as an agent for social change in underserved populations.
- Intermediate skill in the use of computer technology such as Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, and database management
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people of all backgrounds and ability levels.
- Knowledge of Native American culture and pertinent social issues pertaining to Native American/Alaska Natives.
- Ability to represent the Foundation in a professional manner, building respect and confidence in the organization.
- Ability to listen to concerns of participants, staff, parents and coaches and takes specific actions and provides feedback.
Compensation, benefits and workplace
The salary for this position is $21.00 per hour, with a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, employee assistance plan and retirement plan with a 3% company match. NB3 Foundation employees currently enjoy a 36-hour work week and a hybrid office schedule, working from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the Foundation office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and persuasive Grant Writer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for researching funding opportunities, writing and submitting compelling grant and sponsorship proposals, and maintaining relationships with funders. The ideal candidate has a track record of successful grant writing, excellent research skills, excels at translating mission-driven work into compelling narratives, works well independently, and has a passion for ensuring Native children achieve their full potential.
DETAIL OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and identify new grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies aligned with our mission and programs
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, sponsorship requests, and funding applications
- Develop and maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data, outcomes, and stories that strengthen proposals and reports
- Prepare and submit timely grant reports to funders, including narrative and budget components
- Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, awards, and correspondence in our donor/grants database
- Build and maintain relationships with program officers and funder contacts
- Assist with other development and fundraising tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Awareness and keen appreciation of Native American cultures, sensitivity to cross-cultural differences, and ability to work effectively within this context
- 2+ years of experience in grant writing or a related nonprofit development role
- Demonstrated success securing grants from foundations, corporations, and/or government sources
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate program work into a compelling narrative
- Strong research and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Experience with budget development and financial reporting for grants
- Familiarity with grant databases and prospect research tools
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Passion for advancing Native youth health

The pay rate for this position is $35 per hour with a benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, employee assistance plan, and retirement plan with a 3% company match. This position is budgeted for 24 hours per week with an in-office schedule of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, reliable, and proactive Office Coordinator to oversee daily office operations and ensure a smooth, efficient workplace. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, and the primary point of operational support for our staff, you will oversee office administrative tasks, facility vendor coordination, office supply management, and basic scheduling. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, and comfortable juggling a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
DETAIL OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Front Desk & Administrative Support:
- Welcome visitors, answer and direct incoming calls, and manage general administrative inquiries.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Assist staff with general administrative support, including printing, scanning, filing, and preparing outgoing mail/packages.
- Facilities & Operations Support:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment, including common areas, conference rooms, and kitchen/break rooms.
- Serve as the primary liaison for facility maintenance, building management, and office vendors (janitorial, IT support, office equipment repair, internet/phone services).
- Monitor office inventory and order office, kitchen, and printing supplies in a timely manner while keeping within budget guidelines.
- Meeting & Event Coordination:
- Manage meeting room reservations and coordinate room setups for staff meetings, board meetings, and guest visits.
- Assist with logistical planning for internal staff events, workshops, or meetings, including catering orders and technical setup (A/V/video conferencing).
- Recordkeeping & Financial Support:
- Maintain organized physical and digital files for office records, service contracts, and vendor invoices.
- Process vendor invoices and expense receipts for payment in coordination with the finance/bookkeeping team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Awareness and keen appreciation of Native American cultures, sensitivity to cross-cultural differences, and ability to work effectively within this context
- 1+ years of experience in an office administration, coordination, or support role
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Friendly, professional communication style, both written and verbal
- Comfortable with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and general tech troubleshooting
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Experience in a nonprofit setting a plus, but not required
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
