Spring Soccer Clinic News!
The Notah Begay III Foundation Soccer Program is proud to announce the success of two soccer camps benefitting Native American children. The first camp was rolled out on April 7th in Flagstaff, Arizona in partnership with Northern Arizona University women’s soccer team. 99 Native kids attended from 9 tribes across Arizona to learn soccer from NAU collegiate soccer players and NB3 certified coaches. The following weekend, NB3 teamed up with the Oklahoma
University women’s soccer team to host 108 Native kids from 31 Oklahoma
tribes. Incorporated into each camp was
knowledge around nutrition and healthy living, taught by NB3’s health and
wellness team and local Native health organizations. Players learned the value of proper
hydration, fruits and vegetables, and exercise. |
