The Course
ATUNYOTE
ATUNYOTE (uh-DUNE-yote): Oneida word that means "eagle"

Location: St. Rt. 31, Vernon, NY. Approximately 2.5 miles from Turning Stone.
Tournaments
Atunyote is the home of the PGA TOUR Turning Stone Resort Championship held each September. It is the only PGA TOUR event held on Native American soil.
Description of the course
The 18-hole course has vast stretches of open space, gently rolling hills, a stream, small waterfalls, and several lakes. There is a mile and a half of secluded driveway that leads you to the New England style clubhouse with wrap-around porch. Atunyote has its own practice facilities, driving range, short game area and putting green. The course has four Par 3's, ten Par 4's and four Par 5's. The largest body of water, measuring 13 acres, runs along three fairways including the dramatic finishing hole.
