SAN MANUEL BAND OF SERRANO MISSION INDIANS

The San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians has been pivotal in the growth and success of the NB3 Foundation. As a founding sponsor of the NB3 Foundation and the NB3 Foundation Challenge, their financial and moral support have helped us grow in our capacity to help Native American youth today and protect the future of their tribe. The San Manuel Tribe, through their investment over the years, has helped make our important work for the health and future of Native American youth possible.

With a shared commitment toward healthy lifestyles and effective leadership, accomplishments achieved with the support of San Manuel’s investment include:

  • Construction of a $785,000 soccer field and community park in San Felipe Pueblo, New Mexico
  • As a founding sponsor of the NB3 Foundation Challenge from 2008-2010, San Manuel helped build the NB3 Challenge to the golf and charity icon it is today.  San Manuel’s leadership helped the event be recognized by the International Network of Golf (ING) Industry Honors as the best golf tournament in the country serving a charity

Located near the city of Highland, California, San Manuel has governed itself and overseen its community while working hard on a national level to empower Native Americans and people from all walks of life in a variety of ways, including through its philanthropic giving program.

We invite you to visit the San Manuel website to learn about the history, the culture and the many ways San Manuel is giving back to support its local, national and even global community.

ONEIDA INDIAN NATION

The Oneida Indian Nation has been a founding sponsor of the NB3 Foundation Challenge since 2008. For four consecutive years, the tribe has hosted the NB3 Challenge at its beautiful Atunyote Golf Course located at the tribe’s Turning Stone Resort. As a founding sponsor, Oneida Nation has helped build the NB3 Challenge to the golf and charity icon it is today, and their leadership helped the event be recognized by the International Network of Golf (ING) Industry Honors as the best golf tournament in the country serving a charity. The NB3 Foundation Challenge has provided support to enable the NB3 Foundation to serve more than 6,500 Native American youth through sports, health and leadership programming and create national awareness for the need for type 2 diabetes prevention programming since 2008.

The Oneida Nation of New York’s commitment to the event as both a way to highlight the challenges of health in Native American youth and a way to give young Native Americans new opportunities has been invaluable to the Foundation’s mission.

A federally recognized Indian nation in Central New York, the Oneida Indian Nation is a founding member of the Six Nations. Today, the Oneida Nation consists of about 1,000 members, with over 5,000 people employed in their various enterprises, from leisure destinations and gas stations to farms and a media company.

We invite you to visit their website.
